Our Story

Because one life can change hundreds.

The Tyler Lampe Foundation is a heartfelt tribute to the life and legacy of Tyler Lampe — a devoted husband, teacher, coach, and friend whose love for God, family, and football was the heartbeat of his life. Tyler was the kind of person who showed up for people — whether on the sidelines, in the classroom, or during life’s hardest moments — with selfless compassion and unwavering strength.

A proud alum of Lake Howell High School (Winter Park, Florida), Tyler returned as a coach in 2009 and spent over a decade helping build the Silverhawk football program before becoming Offensive Coordinator at Oviedo High School. He also taught in both the Autism Spectrum Disorder and Career & Technical Education programs, making a lasting impact on his students’ lives. Tyler lived and breathed sports, not just for the thrill of competition, but for the lessons of teamwork, leadership, and character it instilled in young people.

In January 2021, Tyler was diagnosed with Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) secondary to Large T-Cell Lymphoma — a rare and aggressive blood cancer. He spent nine months fighting the battle of his life at AdventHealth Orlando, surrounded by love, faith, and his signature grit. Though Tyler passed away on October 7, 2021, his legacy continues to ripple through every life he touched.

Inspired by Tyler’s generosity and strength, the Foundation was created by his wife, family, and friends to carry forward his impact. Rooted in compassion and driven by community, the Tyler Lampe Foundation supports:

  • Blood cancer research and innovation through partnerships with AdventHealth and beyond

  • Families and patients facing cancer, offering practical and emotional support

  • Widows navigating grief and healing, connecting them with community and care

  • Student-athlete scholarships, celebrating the power of sports to build resilience and leadership — just as Tyler believed

Whether it's funding groundbreaking equipment, surprising a family with groceries and gift cards, or handing a scholarship to a high school senior, the mission is the same: to show up when it matters. Just like Tyler did.

As Matthew 6:3 reminds us: “But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.”

Tyler lived this verse, and we aim to do the same.

Together, we’re honoring one life by changing many.

“But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.”

Matthew 6:3
